Metal Models + GW Superglue = Failure

The Games Workshop thin superglue is not impressing me at the moment. Whilst gluing the Staff of Light arm onto my Destroyer Lord I found it had failed to create a strong bond after 2 minutes of pressure. I've tried roughening the edges with emery board and scoring with the blade of my scissor, but it's still hardly making anything. It is currently balanced above a couple of household bits and bobs after a minute of pressured holding. Anyway, more importantly, which superglue do my currently non-existant followers use?

  1. Use the loctite gel control stuff. You can get it in Rymans for about £2 I think.

  2. I use the cheapest stuff I can find at any store.

I do make sure to try and pin all my metal model joints though for additional stability when possible.

  3. I'll check out the loctite gel. It seems easier to control and requires less time held in. I'll probably pin other metal models but in this paricualr case it's probably better to be patient.

  4. Loctite Gel or Loctite Precision Super Glue. You should still pin the minis but if they are cleaned well you can get away with just the glue on the lord arms if I remember correctly...
